behind the scenes at Ardkeen

Lisa Treacy

We are so fortunate in Ardkeen to have many talented colleagues working tirelessly behind the scenes, anonymous to our average customer, bakers, makers, chefs and cooks are onsite everyday bringing innovation to our new product development.

Lisa Treacy is Ballymaloe trained with a keen interest in Alternative and Holistic Health. She has qualifications in Nutrition and Lifestyle Coaching, Sports Nutrition and the latest string to her bow is Personal Trainer. Lisa also happens to be one of our senior bakers, bringing her vast experience and expertise into the Ardkeen Development Kitchen.

When it comes to food innovation, as a busy mum of two young boys, Lisa is led by a balance of healthy eating, convenience and of course deliciousness! .

Earlier this year we introduced her Overnight Oats Pots and now we have four more tasty nutritious options for those of you looking for real sustenance on the go.

Ardkeen Oat Creations
The Seedy Bar – a mix of organic ingredients with a high seed content. The addition of raw set honey gives it a distinctive rich taste.
The Zesty Bar - a mix of organic ingredients with a high seed content, delicious honey and citrus kick.
Vegan Nut Spread – a chocolate hazelnut taste, use as an alternative to sweet processed spreads

Many of us have occasions when we decide to cut down, or take a break from alcohol. This can be for health reasons, having early deadlines to meet, or that we are the designated driver. Much of our socialising has traditionally been constructed around social drinking, and while water and soft drinks are an alternative, some of us just like the taste of alcohol when out.
The practical definition of alcohol-free used by most countries is under 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV). The good news is how much easier it is to go alcohol-free, compared even a few years ago. The move to alcohol-free, or low in alcohol drinks for some of our choices, is being firmly embraced and in fact, it is largely consumer driven. As a result, the quality and selection available now has made the choice easier and more appealing.
