The best artichokes are carefully processed to obtain this delicious ready-to-eat appetiser.

The artichokes are carefully cleaned and the outer leaves are removed, to then be cooked and then passed on the grill to give the final product the typical flavor of grilled vegetables.

They are then immersed in extra virgin olive oil to which aromatic herbs are added to enhance their flavour.

the story of the producer

Sheridans Cheesemongers

After years of dealing with makers, bakers, growers, smokers and farmers we have come to recognise when someone is outstanding in their field and it’s for that very reason we teamed up with the renowned Sheridans’ Cheesemongers, who have an unrivalled reputation as suppliers of the finest Irish and Continental cheeses available on the Irish market and are increasingly recognised as being among the best cheese suppliers in the world. Their formula is simple but effective: they know who made their cheese, they know how they made it and they know where it comes from. Sheridan’s are the perfect partner for Ardkeen Quality Food Store as they share both our passion for good food, but also our respect for our customers. Working closely with producers to get the very best Sheridans Cheesemongers was established in Galway in 1995 by brothers Seamus and Kevin Sheridan, when they started selling Irish farmhouse cheeses from their stall at the Galway Saturday market. They soon opened their first shop in Galway. In 1997 they were joined by a third partner, Fiona Corbett, from Butlerstown, Waterford. As well as hosting their cheese counter, we also stock their own brand crackers and chutneys!
