Keep refrigerated 0-5oC. Suitable for home freezing. Once used, Beef dripping may be kept in the fridge for several months or before the use by date. The dripping can be reused up to 5 times: simply strain through a fine sieve.
Having their own farm, abattoir and shop to sell their beef, it allows Pat Whelan, fifth generatation, give people that essential element of trust that every consumer requires when they buy meat. They concentrate on Hereford and Aberdeen Angus beef. The Hereford has been bred in Ireland since the early 1800s and produces the highest quality marbled beef from grass. They have maintained this tradition on grass feeding, a tradition which produces a beef of surpassing excellence and typicity.
In 2015 James Whelan Beef dripping was awarded Supreme Champion at the Great Taste Awards beating 10,000 products to the claim the coveted prize. Nutrient rich, high in omega-3 acids, clean, pure and carries great flavour, whether for frying a steak, roasting potatoes or spread onto good bread like lardo.
