Oats have been a staple of Irish diets for many, many years – and that for a good reason! The Atlantic climate means that oats thrive in Ireland, making them a great, home-grown choice. Wholegrain oats are a very nutrient-dense food, full of B-vitamins, minerals such as phosphorus, iron, zinc, and magnesium, as well as a good source of protein and fibre.

Enjoy your Ballybrado Organic Oats in the morning as classic porridge made with milk, water, or plant-based drink. Add nuts, seeds, honey, maple syrup, seasonal fruits, or nut butter – the possibilities are endless!

Under pressure in the morning? Why not prepare your breakfast the night before and make some overnight oats? Add yogurt, milk, fruit, cinnamon or vanilla and enjoy a delicious breakfast the next day.

If you’re the crunchy type, try making your own granola. It’s so easy to make and the best thing: you can make it exactly as you like it – add more of what you like, leave out what you don’t like! Enjoy it for breakfast, as a yogurt topping or as a snack in between.

There are so many other ways to enjoy oats. Make your own flapjacks, muesli, pancakes or simply add oats to your next smoothie or homemade bread. Whichever you choose – you can be assured of the best quality organic oats from Ballybrado.
