David, Ivan & Tom Kiersey from Ballyhussa Farm near Kilmacthomas in County Waterford, are the founders of Freezin' Friesian. Their cows graze on grass pastures year-round, producing rich, creamy milk ideal for making ice cream. Embracing the farm-to-table concept, the brothers embarked on creating a luxurious ice cream range using the finest ingredients.
Their business, founded in 2018 and inspired by their mother Grace's recipe, prioritises quality over quantity and the well-being of their Friesian cows. The cows roam between paddocks, using a robotic milking system to minimize stress.
Freezin' Friesian ice cream, known for its natural ingredients and absence of artificial preservatives, offers flavours like Brownie & Honeycomb and Sea Salt & Caramel.
The family business also emphasizes sustainability with practices like clover planting, extensive grazing, solar energy use, and compostable packaging.
