The Deli Department Supervisor will play a crucial role in motivating, organising, and leading the team to maintain the highest standards. Working closely with the Fresh Food Manager, they will implement continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring the Deli Department operates smoothly and efficiently.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Lead and motivate the Deli team to uphold standards in Merchandising, Food Safety, Customer Service, and Food Production.
- Ensure attractive fresh food displays and excellent customer service.
- Maintain accuracy in transactions, hygiene, and food safety.
- Organise tasks, manage stock, conduct stock counts, and control wastage.
- Liaise with management, assist with housekeeping, and implement product promotions.
The successful candidate is likely to have experience achieving high standards in food service or preparation and food safety, be well organised with keen attention to detail and ability to achieve high standards.
You should have energy and enthusiasm with the ability to work well in a team leadership role. An understanding of the Food Retail business and a good knowledge of consumer food products and food trends would be advantageous.
This job involves moderate lifting and carrying and good physical health and fitness is required.
An excellent command of spoken & written English is required.
