G’S is Helen Gee, an innovative home baker and jam maker, married to a farmer in Abbeyleix, Co. Laois, who has managed to translate the very distinctive taste of homemade jam into successful business . The reason behind this success, is that the jams are made in a traditional wayusing an open pan boiling method. They are stirred and poured by hand and are made from only the very best quality local fruit and natural ingredients with no artificial colourings or preservatives. Now, husband Cyril has diversified on the tillage farm, growing raspberries & rhubarb, and their adult children Roy, Clive & Sandra all contribute to production, logistics, HR & product development.
