Organic and biodynamic
Joan Albet i Rovirosa, arrived in the Penedès region of Spain in 1903 to work the vineyards at the Can Vendrell de la Codina Estate and for five generations now the Albet family have farmed, loved and watched over the vines here. Albet i Noya have pioneered organically farmed wines since 1978.
Made from the noblest varieties from North and South of the Pyrenees, this is a versatile wine that can accompany any meal or gathering. Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnatxa and Merlot bring deep cherry red, aromas of vanilla, balsamic hints typical of Garnatxa, fine cacao and ripe fruit. In the mouth it is well structured, meaty and full-bodied with mature tannins and balsamic. Aged in 225L Allier oak barrels for 12 months and subsequently aged in the bottle for 4 months prior to release. Perfect with stew, roasts, pâté, game, semi-mature cheese.
