A light fresh tasting colourful and versatile chutney, bursting with freshness.......A white wine cabernet sauvignon brings a lovely mellow flavour to this delightful chutney. Freshly picked Rhubarb and Apples are slowly simmered in cabernet sauvignon wine, sugar and cider vinegar with warm aromatic spices, to create a delicious fragrant relish. While not the prettiest relish in the world because of the nature of cooked rhubarb, this more than makes up for it in flavour. This matures with age and will keep well in the fridge. The older it gets, the more the flavours infuse, and the more fabulous it becomes…. Warm up your winter evenings with this fruity relish. Displaying a balance of sharp and sweet flavours, the hint of orange, together with the mixed spices give this relish a really warm feel to it, reminding you of open log fires and Christmas. This will send your taste buds jumping all year round. This Relish was developed with cheese in mind and is particularly beautiful with Cheddar Cheeses. It also marries well with cold meats and game.
