Magic Mayan was orginally created by Matthew Norrish, a type one diabetic frustrated with the poor quality of available sweet options. In 2015 Matthew handed over to family Darren, Sinead & Nathan O'Connor based in Ennis Co. Clare.
Magic Mayan chocolate is made using raw cacao, which equates to super high levels of antioxidants plus an abundance of enzymes and other nutrients. That's why we call it 'raw superfood chocolate'.
The unique range of chocolate bars are made with coconut sugar, a natural sweetener with a very low glycemic index (making it a healthier choice for diabetics), sourced from small farmers in Indonesia who use organic methods. The cacao is raw, organic and ethically traded from small-scale producers in Peru, coming from the criollo variety, known as "The Queen Of Cacao". Just see for yourself if your taste buds don't love the complex fruity notes of this ancient and highly regarded variety of cacao.
We use recycle packaging whenever we can (e.g. packing up orders for customers locally or online), while the chocolate bar wrapper is made out of recycled paper.
