Peggy Gaffney of Campile, Co.Wexford makes old fashioned homemade butter at her kitchen table. A tradition and skill carried down from her own mother with two ingredients - real cream & sea-salt, no preservatives, and no oils. Handmade in stainless steel churn, then washed, salted and packed by hand. The washing improves the flavour by washing out the buttermilk. You can tell on appearance alone this is completely different to a processed butter, it has a wonderful deep golden colour and the taste is a reminder of the flavour that farmhouse butter used to have.
