A classic indeed! This is a much loved family recipe from the 1800’s. Our shortbread is delicate and delicious – a true celebration of the wonder that is Irish butter. About Lismore: Did you know that Fred and Adele Astaire were regular visitors to Lismore and often danced their way along the Main Street!
Made in a bakery where fish, celery, mustard, sesame seeds, nuts and peanuts are handled. May contain traces of egg and nuts.

The Lismore Food Company is the brainchild of Beth-Ann Smith and brothers Owen and Ken Madden, all three of whom share a love of fine ingredients and a lifetime of experience in food.
Beth-Ann is Ballymaloe Cookery School trained and head chef at Lismore Castle. The Madden brother's family opened a bakery and public house on Lismore’s Main Street in the early 1800’s which is now home to The Lismore Food Company.
Generations later, they continue this rich tradition of baking in the same historic location.
The packaging of their biscuits befits the sheer quality inside - encased inside gold embossed cylinders wrapped in tissue -All Butter Irish Shortbread; Lemon Polenta; Hazelnut, Cinnamon and Raisin; Dark Chocolate and Cardamom; Golden Ginger and Cacao Nibs. In a word - delicious.
