Glenmore Organic Farm
Christine Hyland, together with her husband Seamus run Glenmore Farm, an 80 acre holding in West Waterford. True advocates of organic farming, they stock Hereford Angus suckler cows, sheep and most importantly for us, both Lowman Brown and Gold Line chickens! They started with 100 hens in a hen house, 100 being the optimum level under organic regulations as it is the natural flocking size for hens. They now have 4 houses and a packing station with birds who enjoy the freedom of going out all the time. The taste of an organic egg is truly unique, and Christine’s superlative creamy fresh Lemon Curd without doubt benefits from the quality of these wonderful nutritious eggs.
