Medium dark roast, for a smooth yet intense experience.

This Grade is triple picked Arabica is Sumatra Mandheling, grown on the lofty volcanic slopes of Mount Leuser near the port of Padang in the Balak region of west-central Sumatra at altitudes of 2,500 to 5,000 feet.

The natural drying method used in its production results in a very full body with a concentrated flavour, garnished with herbal nuances and a spicy finish. The coffee has a low acidity and a richness that lingers on the back corners of your tongue. Notes of chocolate are evident in the finish.

Coffee House Lane of Waterford

Ponticelli® Espresso was created in 2009 in Waterford by Father and Son team, Mark and Stephen Bergin. The pair who have been in the coffee industry for several years as agents for imported coffee brands had grown tired of the lack of a quality local offering in the south east of Ireland, so they set about researching roasting equipment, and coffee recipes. And so, the Ponticelli® range was born, quickly growing a reputation for quality coffee, produced locally. It’s a unique blend of 100% Arabica coffee beans roasted and blended in Waterford in small batches of 15kg to maintain a high level of quality control.
