Before proceeding with an order, you will be required to show that you have read and understood the following terms and conditions. We recommend that you print a copy of these Terms and Conditions for your future reference.
This website is the property of Ardkeen Quality Food Store. All material on this website is copyright to Ardkeen Quality Food Store, and is provided solely for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not use this website for any commercial purpose.
Products and Pricing
We take every care to ensure that product descriptions are accurate at the time of uploading products to the website. We reserve the right to withdraw any product from the website without any prior notification. We also reserve the right to amend prices of products without prior notification.
Our products are priced in Euro. When paying by credit card this is the amount which will be deducted from your debit or credit card. When purchasing products with sterling or other currencies, debit or credit cards, the exchange rates will be set by the cardholders bank. These rates fluctuate on a daily basis. For further information, cardholder should contact their bank as exchange rates are not applied by Ardkeen Quality Food Store. All prices shown on our website are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
When an order is placed on our website, you will receive a confirmation email advising you that we have received your order and it is being processed. You will then receive an email to let you know that your order has been packed and is ready for shipping. This will be followed by an email to let you know that your order has been dispatched. This will include a tracking number and information on how you can monitor the delivery status of your parcel. Finally, we will email you to let you know that your order has been delivered.
All products are subject to availability. Our display of products on our website is an invitation and not an offer to sell those goods to you. An offer is made when you place the order for your products.
If products that you order are out of stock, subject to a delay or the price is higher than that shown on your order, we will try to contact you at the email address you provided when placing your order. If we cannot contact you or receive no response to our email, we will continue to process any remaining products on your order. We will not supply a replacement product without your authorisation. If you would like to cancel your order please see our returns policy.
Gift Vouchers will be dispatched within 24 hours (during the trading time of Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm) and can be personalised with a message if requested at the time of order being processed.
Gift Vouchers which are not part of a larger order of food items are sent with An Post.
Gift Vouchers cannot be returned once purchased and cannot be exchanged for cash or other gift cards. Gift vouchers purchased in-store can be used within the store or on our website. Gift vouchers purchased online can be used online or in the store.
We cannot take responsibility for any gift vouchers that are lost, stolen or used by someone other than your recipient after delivery. Please make sure your recipient has received their Gift Voucher, as it is their responsibility to keep the Gift Voucher safe. We use reliable postal services however we shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the parcels within the estimated timescales
To cancel your order
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us. As we try to process orders immediately it may not always be possible to prevent an order from being despatched. If your order has already been despatched you may return the items to us in accordance with our Returns Policy.
Please note that once we have despatched items to you, you will not be able to cancel any contract you have with us for additional services carried out by us (e.g. gift wrapping).
As soon as we receive notice of your cancellation of an item we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that item together with the item's normal postage charge if applicable.
Cooling off period
If you live in the European Union you have a right to withdraw from the purchase of any item within a "cooling-off" period of seven working days starting on the day after the day the item is delivered to you. This right applies to all items advertised on the Website except for:
- perishable goods and other items likely to expire rapidly (e.g. hampers and gift boxes containing such items and other food and beverage items, in particular refrigerated items)
- sealed items where the seal has been broken.
Coupons, discounts, postage rates and promotional discount codes offered by www.ardkeen.com are valid only as part of a purchase made on this website.
We only sell items to adults (i.e. those aged 18 or over). If you are under 18, you may use this website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Colours, specifications and dimensions of products
We have made every effort to display the colours, specifications and dimensions of items on the Website as accurately as possible. The colours you see will depend on the resolution of your monitor, we cannot guarantee that your monitor's display of any colour will reflect accurately the colour of the item delivered. We may from time to time vary the dimensions, specifications and quantities of items displayed on our Website without prior notice.
Some of the items available for purchase from this Website contain alcohol. When you place an order for an alcoholic product using this Website, you confirm that you are aged 18 or over.
Goods must be received by a person 18 years of age or older.
Food Hampers and Gift boxes
Hampers and gift boxes are collections of food and non-food items packaged in containers such as wicker baskets, card or wooden boxes. As these products contain perishable items and items with a rapid expiry date, your statutory right to withdraw purchases within the seven working day "cooling-off" period does not apply to these items. The hampers and gift boxes photographed contain only items listed. This means some wine vintages may vary according to availability and any props used in the photography are not included in the hampers unless stated in the hamper listing.
Some of the items we sell are chilled items such as cheese, meat and yoghurt. These items will be sent to you in temperature controlled packaging which will ensure the goods will arrive with you at the appropriate temperature.
We have carefully chosen packaging which promises to maintain the temperature of the food item for up to 48 hours. This allows us to be confident that we can deliver perishable goods to you in perfect condition. Your chilled items will arrive to you in an insulated pouch within your regular delivery box or within an insulated box. With both options, the food will be surrounded by frozen, food-safe gel blocks. We will decide which packaging solution to use when we see your order as it will depend on the selection of items you have ordered.
Delivery of refrigerated food items is available within the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. Due to the longer shipping period, we regret that we cannot ship them to countries further afield at this time. If you are abroad and would like to order refrigerated food items for delivery to a friend or relative in the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland, we can facilitate this at all times.
Ardkeen Cookshop Catering
We provide an outside catering service here at Ardkeen for which we make all food items in store. You can browse our full selection of catering solutions on our Catering Menu. Please note that for most Catering items, we require up to 5 days notice of your event in order to be able to guarantee that we can provide you with the food you require. If you do not have 5 days, please feel free to contact us and we will do our very best to provide you with a solution for your event at shorter notice.
If you have an allergy or are shopping for someone with an allergy, please do your own careful research in relation to allergy-related claims on the product. Please be aware that the information we have provided in relation to the products has been taken directly from the packaging of the product. Claims about any product and the listing of ingredients are based on what the supplier has told us. Please satisfy yourself that the products are suitable for you before using.
