Sensational Summer Spuds!
First of the season local new potatoes have arrived in Ardkeen Quality Food Store, supplied by Fergal Molloy of Wexford Potatoes, who ensures that Ardkeen have the produce on sale literally fresh out of the ground.
The potatoes are grown by Nicky Kehoe on his farm at Carne Co. Wexford. The particular micro climatic conditions on Nicky’s farm make it ideal for producing early new potatoes without the need to cover the crop in plastic.

The dedication & care taken by Nicky’s team even extends to hand digging the potatoes each day which ensures that they are not damaged by any mechanical process. They are then delivered and on sale within a few hours – it really doesn’t get much better than that for freshness and taste.
