Only the very best of fresh meat - that’s what you will find in Ardkeen Quality Food Store. We are proud to be able to guarantee the quality, safety and taste of our poultry, pork, beef and lamb. Each one is traceable from the farm to the fork. Our butchers will always be pleased to discuss what’s available and prepare your meat exactly the way you want it.

O'Neill's of Waterford have been supplying Ardkeen Quality Food Store, with its top quality low salt bacon, since there establishment in 1992. O'Neill's are based at Abbey Road, Ferrybank, Waterford. O'Neill's of Waterford are registered with the Food Safety Authority of Ireland and the Department of Agriculture and Food. To ensure identification, all their products are dated, labelled and carry a trace number.

Carlow Foods specialise in the production of Free Range Chicken and Turkey and now supply to Ardkeen Quality Food Store. Bertram Salter operates the only registered traditional chicken, turkey and geese grower in Ireland, Carlow Foods Ltd. He made it to the final ten of Shell’s Live Wire Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. The company is registered as a free range grower and has its own licensed slaughter plant. Everything used is from the farm and can be fully traced.


O’Neill Foods available at Ardkeen Quality Food Store come to us from Pat O’Neill, Ferns, Co. Wexford. Using an original recipe exclusive to O’Neill Foods the meat is traditionally dry cured. Their dry cure products contain the following characteristics; rashers keep full size when cooked, no water added to the product, no water residue when cooking, no phosphates and 25% less salt. With the traditional dry curing process no water is added, instead a blend of salts and sugars are gently massaged into the pork converting it to bacon. You are not purchasing 25% water just 100% Meat.
