About Ardkeen Quality Food Store

Ardkeen Quality Food Store is an independent food retailer. We are locally owned and managed. The business was founded by Robert and Pamela Jephson in 1967 as a small grocery store with petrol pumps out the front, believe it or not this was quite a novel format back then! The business has grown in popularity and scale over the years notably a a major redevelopment of Ardkeen Shopping Centre took place in 1998.

Ardkeen Quality Food Store has a developed a unique food offering. People want to know about and trust the people who produce their food so we specialise in sourcing the best fresh produce and local foods from artisan food producers that we know and trust. As an independent supermarket we have the flexibility to buy the produce our customers want. Using links developed over the years with really good food producers we now have a range of fine foods that surpasses all competition in terms of food quality and provenance.

Although there have been many changes over the years our philosophy remains the same; to provide great value, better quality food and excellent customer service.

We are delighted to be listed as one of "Ireland's Top 50 Stores" for 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 & 2010 and to have been awarded the title of Best Large Store, Southern Region at the FBD CREST Retail Awards in 2004, 2007 and again in November 2009.
